Memberships & Accreditation
We are committed to the ongoing development of our staff and their professional skills. That is why we play an active role in a wide range of local, national and international organisations such as TOPRA, Irish Medtech and others.
We have included some details below about the organisations that we are active members of and we would encourage you to visit their websites to find out more about them.
The Skillnet network is an enterprise led training network that has provided subsidised training to thousands of companies since its inception in 2008. For many years we played a particularly active role by taking part in the network steering committee. The County Tipperary Skillnet is one of over 60 such networks in Ireland and they can be contacted by clicking here.
EO is a global network exclusively for entrepreneurs. EO helps leading entrepreneurs learn and grow through peer-to-peer learning, once-in-a-lifetime experiences, and connections to experts. Our Managing Director, Dr Gemma Robinson is an active participant in the Irish chapter.
While not technically a membership, Acorn Regulatory is an Enterprise Ireland client company. The agency supports Irish businesses in their efforts to develop their business in overseas markets. In recent years we have worked to support a large number of Enterprise Ireland clients in the pharmaceutical and medical device sectors to launch their products in international markets. You can read more about EI and their supports for business here.
IBEC is the voice of Irish business. As the largest business representative body in Ireland they work on behalf of ourselves and thousands of other businesses to lobby for a competitive business environment in Ireland. Read more about the work of IBEC and its many subsidiary networks here.
The IMDA, now known as Irish Medtech, is a particularly vibrant and active association. We have been members for a number of years and have been regular attendees at their many workshops and events. The association is part of the larger IBEC organisation.
Many of our staff members are long standing members of The Organisation for Professionals in Regulatory Affairs (TOPRA) and attend their seminars and training events throughout Europe. TOPRA has a comprehensive website which covers many specialised areas within their regulatory affairs field. In recent years a number of our staff members have been nominated and shortlisted for prestigious TOPRA awards. Read more about TOPRA and membership of the organisation here.
A number of our colleagues are members of The Research Quality Association (RQA). The Research Quality Association was formerly called BARQA, the British Association of Research Quality Assurance and was changed in December 2012. As an Association dedicated to informing and advancing its members, we provide status and visibility for individuals concerned with the quality of research and development concerning pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, chemicals and medical devices. Since its inception in 1977 the Association has grown and developed to reflect regulatory changes, the impact of regulatory inspection and the changing structure and needs of industry.
RQA membership comprises:
Quality and research professionals including directors, managers, scientists, auditors and other practitioners worldwide.
Practitioners concerned with the quality and compliance of research with a particular focus upon the safety and efficacy of pharmaceuticals, biologicals, devices, agrochemicals and chemicals in man, animals and the environment.
We have been proud members of the County Tipperary Chamber for many years. The organisation regularly hosts events for companies, such as ours, in the life sciences sector. Life science companies in the region include Boston Scientific, MSD, Abbott Vascular and Amneal Pharmaceuticals.
We are ISO 9001: 2015 certified. The company has held ISO certification since March 2014 and we work, on a daily basis, to ensure that our endeavours meet the stringent requirements of the certification.
