Acorn Regulatory Takes Part in Enterprise Ireland & IDA 2018 Trade Mission Events

Acorn Regulatory staff took part in a number of the Enterprise Ireland & IDA Trade Mission events in Dublin and Sligo recently.

The purpose of the trade missions was to facilitate networking opportunities between Enterprise Ireland clients (of which Acorn Regulatory is one) and IDA Ireland multinational companies.

Acorn Regulatory already works with seven of the world’s top ten pharmaceutical companies, six of the world’s top ten medical device companies and a large number of dynamic life science SME’s all over the world.

Companies participating in the events included Horizon Pharmaceuticals, Novartis, Biomarin, West Pharma, Amgen and Becton Dickinson.  The Minister of State for Trade, Employment, Business, EU Digital, Single Market and Data Protection, Pat Breen TD  opened the Dublin event and stressed the role that indigenous companies have in working with foreign direct investment firms in developing the Irish economy.  There were 110 multinational companies taking part over three days alongside 194 indigenous companies.  Overall, it is estimated that there were almost 500 pre-planned meetings taking place between the companies present.

The ‘Trade Mission to Ireland’ events are held annually in multiple Irish cities and are attended by hundreds of Enterprise Ireland client companies and multinational companies.  The 2018 events took place in Dublin, Limerick and Sligo on May 16th and 17th.
